Installed surveillance systems are inadequate typically not because the technology is incapable of providing forensic quality detail, instead because the system is often deployed incorrectly.
In this presentation, using an on-going project implementation at Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), the end user, integrator, and manufacturer highlight three critical steps to take to provide a system that exceeds the customer’s needs while remaining within budget.
MCPS has standardized on megapixel IP camera technology and advanced IP video management software to be implemented across 25 high schools, 35 middle schools, and 135 elementary schools which educate 138,000 students. By implementing these basic principles facility managers, IT teams and integrators speak the same language and that the IP video system exceeds expectations.
